cat grooming specialists for long and short haired breeds

During my years running Catnips, I’ve noticed many clients’ long-haired cats with coats in a terrible condition. This unfortunate result can happen for a number of reasons

  1. being uncomfortable handling a resistant cat

  2. underestimating the time commitment for proper grooming

  3. a lack of knowledge about grooming and maintenance techniques

Left unchecked a cat can easily end up covered with matted fur and/or knots which cannot be combed out in the usual manner.  Nobody wants that, especially the cat!

Even nails are sometimes left too long because the owners don’t feel confident clipping them and often don’t have the time to take them to the vets for this important service.

In my research I found out that it’s very easy to find dog grooming parlours, but that there is only one other exclusively mobile London cat-grooming service, so myself and husband decided to take a cat grooming course. I initially took a course with a London based grooming parlour, who shall remain un-named, but I did not like what I saw behind the scenes and thought their methods did not take the cats well-being into consideration. I left that course after one day and researched the internet to find a groomer with the same ethics as I wanted Catnips to have. After an intensive course, myself and Gordon started our London mobile cat-grooming service with the sole aim of grooming your cat in the comfort of its own home and with it’s well-being our top priority , NOT the time it takes before cramming in another job!

No stressing your cat out taking it to a grooming parlour that grooms dogs too and other cats.
