CANCELLATION POLICY:

All cancellations must be received no later than 7 days prior to the first scheduled date or the full fee is chargeable.  50% is non-returnable unless in exceptional circumstances or when your trip was so far in advance that I feel enough notice was given. During busy holiday periods any cancellation made within two weeks of first scheduled date is liable to the full fee. This is because at busy times Catnips close our books after a certain number of bookings and therefore if you cancel at short notice, not only have you lost other cats my services but you've also lost me work. I consider my busiest times to be Easter, Summer holiday period, and Xmas.

A contract/booking form will be signed by both parties to ensure our arrangement is legally binding. All signed contracts are scanned and emailed back to you for your records.

I am fully insured with public liability insurance by Cliverton & have been fully CRB checked. Absolute discretion is assured.

CAT SITTING & CAT GROOMING AREAS COVERED

My main cat sitting areas are Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Park, Notting Hill and Holland Park although I can extend this to certain areas such as Kensal Rise, Maida Vale, Bayswater, parts of Kensington, and Gloucester Road. For home cat grooming I am willing to travel further. Please always ask. I run the cat sitting side purely as a one man operation which is why there are only so many areas I can cover. By doing this, and keeping the company small, I give my clients a very personal service and they in return have kept very loyal to Catnips. During extremely busy times such as Xmas I am helped out by my cat loving husband Gordon! This is always with the consent of the client first! My husband also assists me on every cat groom.

IMPORTANT CATNIPS POLICY

I believe in daily visits only throughout the duration of the pet sitting period. Pets, especially cats, need love, personal attention, fresh food and water, fresh litter, and possibly medical attention and this is a part of my service which my conscience will not allow me to sway from. Please do not ring me and ask me to sit your pet every other day or two as the answer will always be a polite no.

PAYMENT

Per visit: I believe that a quick ‘in & out’ service of 10 mins per visit is not enough time spent with a cat that is on it’s own 24/7 whilst you’re away. Catnips provides A MINIMUM of 30 mins of quality time per visit which covers feeding, litter changing, grooming, socialising with pet(s) (lots of cuddles & reassurance), playing, any medicine (pills) to administer, as well as any additional things you have requested. All clients are texted or emailed on a regular basis with written or photo updates on how their cat is doing. Obviously I would also respect your cat if it wishes to be left alone but in my experience most cats lose their reservations and will happily lap up the attention and 9 times out of 10 I stay well beyond the allotted time. Catnips mice and tasty treats always help!!

TV NIGHTS AND OVERNIGHT STAYS:

When clients go away for 2 weeks or longer I always suggest a TV night treat which basically means I spend the evening with their cat watching TV - 4 hours!  Cats are generally very social creatures and my TV nights have proved to be a great success and enjoyed very much by the cat as well as me. A real occasional treat. Overnight stays are also a much requested service for a real VIC treat!
